Infrastructure Survey Project

The CEEC has completed a survey in three different countries, Finland, Holland and Ireland, concerning how budgets for infrastructure projects are prepared and how satisfactory they are. The report is available.

Steel Price Book for German Construction

The European Code of Measure is being updated and new information will be published by the year end.

Construction Economist Profile

The CEEC have launched a review of competencies applied across Europe by the national associations responsible for the profession of construction economist/quantity surveyor and will be publishing an interim progress report on comparisons in early 2011.

 

Cost Planning of Sustainable Housing Projects

Dr. Tim de Jonge is leading a team of international construction economists from Holland, France, Ireland, the Czech Republic and the UK in comparing methodologies in cost planning the costs of sustainable construction and exploring possibilities of common methodologies of costing . The national subgroups are preparing comparable cost exercises on local housing projects with sustainability content for the next General Assembly meeting in November.
